6/10KV Medium Voltage Cable

Huayu's 6/10kV medium voltage cable is designed for power distribution where reliable insulation and protection are required. The cable uses a Class 2 copper conductor, XLPE insulation, copper tape screen, steel tape armor and PVC/ST2 sheath. The screened and armored construction makes it suitable for fixed installation in industrial facilities, power distribution networks and other medium voltage systems.

The insulation system uses conductor and insulation screens with triple extrusion, helping maintain a consistent insulation structure along the cable length. The copper tape screen provides electrical shielding, while the steel tape armor adds mechanical protection against external forces during installation and operation.

The 6/10kV rating makes this cable suitable for medium voltage feeders and connections between major electrical equipment. Typical applications include industrial plants, substations, distribution systems, mining facilities and infrastructure projects where cables may be installed in trenches, ducts or cable routes exposed to mechanical stress.

The armored construction is particularly useful when the cable route needs additional mechanical protection. The cable has a specified minimum bending radius of 15 times the outer diameter, which should be considered when planning installation routes and turning points.
