Benefits of PFA sheathed cables
PFA is the abbreviated term for Perfluoroalkoxy. It can be used as a sheathing material for electrical cables.
A benefit of PFA is its melt processability - it has a lower melt viscosity than PTFE.
Key characteristics
- Lightweight: for example, 0.2 sqmm, 52.2 kg/km
- Industrial solvents, oils and chemicals inertness
- Non-stick surfaces and low co-efficient of friction
- Operating temperature range: -65~+250℃
PFA can work better under a high temperature compared to FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene).
