4 pair instrument cable is multi-twisted-pair signal cable with four pairs of conductors. It transmits four separate measurement and control signals for field sensors and transmitters.
Available shielded or unshielded. Shielded version reduces crosstalk between pairs. Used for multi-channel 4-20mA and RS-485 wiring in PLC and DCS industrial control systems.
