Marine Boat Cable for Onboard Electrical Systems

Marine boat cable is used for electrical circuits on boats, yachts and other vessels. This cable range is designed for onboard power wiring where the cable may need to pass through compact spaces, equipment areas and different sections of the vessel.

The cable uses tinned copper conductor, XLPE insulation and SHF1 outer sheath. It is available in different core configurations and conductor sizes for power supply, lighting, auxiliary equipment and other onboard electrical circuits.

A Practical Choice for Boat Wiring

Boat wiring often has to work around panels, machinery, bulkheads and other equipment. A suitable cable construction makes routing and connection easier, especially when several electrical circuits are installed in the same area.
The 0.6/1 kV rating gives this cable a wider application range than low-voltage boat wiring used only for small auxiliary circuits. It can be used for both equipment power supply and general onboard electrical distribution, depending on the vessel design.

Where It Is Used

  • Boat and yacht electrical systems
  • Workboats and service vessels
  • Onboard lighting and auxiliary circuits
  • Pumps, fans and other marine equipment
  • Distribution wiring between marine electrical panels and equipment

One Cable Range, Different Vessel Requirements

A small yacht, a workboat and a larger commercial vessel do not have the same cable requirements. Conductor size, number of cores and installation conditions can vary considerably.

Huayu supplies marine boat cable in a wide range of sizes and configurations. This makes it easier to select the cable according to the actual circuit rather than forcing different applications into one standard size.

Marine Standards

The cable is manufactured according to applicable IEC 60092 marine cable requirements, with relevant flame-retardant and low-smoke, halogen-free properties. Marine type approval and certification documents are available for applicable products and projects.
