Armored instrument cable is industrial signal cable with metal armour layer. It connects sensors and transmitters for control and measurement signals.

The metal armour offers mechanical protection against impact, crushing and rodent damage. Often built-in with shielding, it works well for direct burial or rough-condition field installations.
